Nature is disappearing from our planet. According to new United Nations estimates over a million species are threatened:
Earth likely is moving into the sixth mass extinction event in its history, the first one that humans are causing. Elephants could be gone from the wild in a generation. Amphibian populations already are collapsing. Climate change is warming and acidifying the oceans, threatening to annihilate coral reefs.
What can you do to respond and stop mass extinction?
- First: Understand that you and your children have a fundamental human right to nature. Human freedom begins with the absence of human power, or nature. That right to nature overrides the right others may mistakenly feel they have to harm nature. Take action to defend your rights, and protect you and the ones you love.
- Second: Understand that there are specific people and corporations that must be held responsible. Our governments have failed – we must act to protect nature, and our kids’ future.
- Third: Understand what is driving mass extinction – poor family planning, large families, and the consumption they drive. Humans exist before they consume. Many environmental groups who are scared of losing donors will not tell you that better family planning, and smaller more equitable families, can have twenty times the beneficial impact of other policy changes. Know the truth, and take action.
Qualitative, child-first family planning like the Fair Start model is THE intersectional and fundamental change we have all been anticipating.
